Checking In

Journal Entry: Sat Mar 29, 2014, 12:44 PM
For those that still follow me, I'm still alive. I promise. This last year was tough for an aviation photographer. Not only because of there being no real airshows, but also because of my kid.
It's hard to believe that he's 14 months old now.
I last checked in nearly a year ago with a renewed vigor and lust for my art. Then the budget sequestrations went through, and there simply weren't enough opportunities for me to go out and shoot.
Things look promising this year. Hopefully, I'll be able to get out and shoot a bit more. But in the meantime, I figured I'd keep you guys all up to date.
By the way, here's a shot of Hunter at 12 months.

Just to let you know that P-51 Fan Club has a seperate folder for any photographs of formations with other aircraft types. I have moved the ones you have already submitted but I thought I would let you know for future reference. Keep up the great submissions though as it i great to have you and your fine work in the group. I was hoping you would add some. :)

No problem at all it was an easy mistake to make!

I don't know if you noticed but in the group we are trying to built a photographic record of as many of the worlds airworthy Mustangs as we can. We have made a folder called "Airworthy Mustang Project" and we are accepting one photograph per Mustang. I am listing the aircraft's name, owner and base down the side of the gallery in order. I have already added some of your photographs to the folder but if you have any other photographs of Mustangs that are not in the list yet, please feel free to submit them to the folder. The folder is subject to voting unlike the others but that is only so i can keep tabs on it and do the research to fill in all the information about the aircraft.

It's been tough to keep tabs on some of the Mustangs here in the states. They tend to change hands and paint jobs frequently. Especially in the current economy.
Check the Forums at [link]
They have a similar project going on. Hopefully that will help provide some cross-reference for some of the aircraft in the folder.
