The R-2800 powered Hawker Sea Fury, Argonaut, in the middle of a pre-race engine run test.
At Reno you will see Sea Furies with every power plant imaginable. From the original Bristol Centaurus engine all the way up to Dreadnought's R-4360 (the same engine that powered the Hughes Hercules, aka the "Spruce Goose.") But for my money, none of them sound better than this one. There's a very unique sound when this R-2800 goes by at full song. It's absolutely magnificent.
