Chaparral 2J I

Chaparral 2J, the fabled "Sucker car." The car has a snowmobile engine in the back which creates a vacuum which sucks in to the ground. It used to turn laps almost three seconds faster than anything else on the track. It ran three races before the FIA declared that the ground effects on the car were considered a "Movable aerodynamic device" and was banned from competition. (This was a constant game for Jim Hall.) But it was hilarious to hear this deep throaty V8 trailing a snowmobile motor behind it.
"BWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
It was cool to finally see this car in action.
