Thank you for your kind words, and of course, thank you for your service. It's a pleasure to see these magnificent machines in action, and it's even more of a pleasure getting to share with others the things I get to experience. stay tuned, much more to come!
Because of its dull grey color, that scheme lends itself well to background contrast, and in this case the secondary purple and orange set it off beautifully. Can't wait to see your photos of the F35 Lightning someday. Check out my page to see a rendering of it.
Aviation Nation has always been a little late getting the site up and running. For an up to date list of participants, check fencecheck.com [link] Looks like a pretty good lineup this year. Dutch F-16 demo, and they're bringing their pretty show plane. (there's pics on the forum link.
That's a pretty cool site, but their database is a little small. I searched for images that I knew were out on the web, and it didn't pick them up. I'll keep an eye on it, but for the near future, I prefer a proactive approach to a reactive. It's a lot harder to get someone to take my pictures down then it is to keep them from wanting to use it in the first place. I've actually sold more prints since I started putting the watermarks on then in the three years before.
Yeah, I totally get why you do it. Easier to stop theft before it happens. It's interesting to know you sell more now that you use watermarks. Congrats on that.
And yes, Tineye's database is relatively small, but it's growing all the time. One of these days it could become a very handy tool for finding images and helping stop art theft. Hopefully they keep adding pictures constantly because that site has the potential to be an artist's best friend. As you said, it's hit or miss right now.
